Navigating Pay Equity in the Workplace
1. Spotting pay equity issues in your workplace;
2. Tools for identifying and resolving problems; and,
3. Communication with employees on pay equity goals and closing the gap.
This presentation will highlight the issues related to fairness of the compensation paid by employers. We will first cover the requirements of the Equal Pay Act and other federal and state laws.
We will also look at best practices to identify potential issues, such as detailed data collection and pay analyses. Finally, we will cover remediation strategies and effective communication with employees on these issues.
Elizabeth Simmons Callan is a Principal in the Cincinnati, Ohio, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She concentrates her practice on management side employment litigation.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Simmons Callan has deep experience in business counseling, working with clients on issues and claims brought under the ADA, Title VII and state discrimination statutes.
