Session Description
In today's fast-paced and often unpredictable environment, the ability to make swift decisions is crucial for success. This means operating with influence and psychological safety, rather than authority and pressure.

This session will explore tools and techniques that empower everyone, regardless of their position, to approach decision making in ambiguity with more clarity and assurance. Participants will engage in interactive discussions and case studies designed to enhance their decision-making skills.

More About Barbara Utrup

Barb Utrup has partnered with leaders to support their strategic goals in the areas of talent management, organizational development, and human resources. Her experience in public and private sector organizations including healthcare, manufacturing, sports, and non-profit spans from strategy and operations to leadership and team development. Through this work and as a former Chief of Human Resources, she is keenly aware of the various challenges leaders face. Ms. Utrup's strengths include outstanding communication and the ability to build relationships. With a professional, yet relatable communication style and ability to connect with individuals at all levels, she is very passionate about learning and development. Barb volunteers as an active member of the 3rd and Goal Foundation, and is active with Women for Economic Leadership Development (WELD). Barb is also involved with several SHRM chapters and was formerly on the Ohio SHRM annual conference planning committee.
