Session Description
In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, HR professionals are often the bridge between organizational strategy and day-to-day execution. While leadership sets the vision, effective management ensures that systems, people, and processes operate smoothly, compliantly, and in alignment with organizational values. Yet many HR leaders—whether working in recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation, or HR operations—find themselves in management roles without formal training in the core disciplines of management.

This session, designed for OH SHRM members and HR practitioners across industries, provides a practical, people-focused foundation in essential management practices. Whether you oversee an HR function, manage a team, support department leaders, or guide managers across your organization, you’ll gain actionable tools to strengthen team performance, streamline workflows, and support a healthier, more engaged workforce. This workshop is equally valuable for seasoned managers seeking a renewed, contemporary perspective amid changing workplace expectations.
