Thomas “Tom” Mobley, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is a Professor in Miami University’s Farmer School of Business and an HR practitioner, consultant, and educator with 40 years of experience. He teaches across the HR curriculum and is helping establish an HR Center of Excellence to expand client-facing learning.

Tom’s expertise includes employment law, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiations, training and development, and safety and security. Through Mobley HR Consulting, he delivers HR certification preparation, HR and leadership training, and keynote/workshop programs. He has taught certification prep for more than 20 years; since developing his SHRM and HRCI courses, 200+ test-takers have achieved an 88% pass rate.

Highlights include 30+ years teaching at the college level, graduate teaching for Dalian University of Technology (China), recognition as a Top 25 Professor at Miami University (ASG), and serving as Technical Editor for Sandra Reed’s aPHR/iaPHR study guide.
