Session Description
HR leaders sit at the center of workplace culture. They support employees through difficult moments, guide leaders through complex people decisions, and help organizations navigate constant change. Yet while HR professionals spend their careers caring for the well being of others, their own emotional capacity is often overlooked.

According to the American Psychological Association’s Work in America report, 77 percent of workers report experiencing work related stress that impacts their well being. For HR leaders who are often the first call when workplace challenges arise, the emotional demands of the role can be significant.

In this interactive session, Dr. Terah introduces a practical wellness prescription designed specifically for HR leaders. Participants will complete a guided Emotional Energy Inventory during the session to assess where their emotional capacity is currently being stretched, depleted, or honored in their leadership roles. This reflective activity helps HR leaders recognize the moments when their default response has been to override their emotional capacity rather than respect it.

Participants will then receive a practical implementation pathway they can begin immediately to help them pause, assess, and make intentional decisions that honor their emotional capacity in real time. The pathway includes simple steps HR leaders can apply when navigating high demand moments such as employee concerns, leadership requests, and organizational pressure.

Attendees will also have the option to opt into a two-week follow up accountability check in where they can reflect on the action they committed to during the session and assess whether they have begun practicing honoring their emotional capacity in real time.

By combining reflection, practical tools, and optional follow-up support, this session equips HR leaders with strategies they can begin using immediately to protect their well being while continuing to lead their organizations with clarity, care, and resilience.
